VHB Groep finishes in the top 3 of the 2024 FD Gazelle International Award
[Netherlands, 11 April 2024] – VHB Groep, a leading Dutch family-owned recycling company, are proud to announce they finished in the top 3 in the FD Gazelle International Award 2024. This initiative of ‘Het Financieele Dagblad’, recognises companies from the Netherlands who have proven international success.
The result reaffirms VHB Groep’s position as a representative of Dutch innovation and entrepreneurship on the international stage. The recognition underlines not only the achievements of the VHB Groep, but also their continuous pursuit of technological innovation in the recycling sector within the circular economy.

The professional jury of the 2024 FD Gazelle International Award gives recognition to Dutch innovation and entrepreneurial spirit with this award. The company exhibits a high degree of a hands-on vision whilst be able to maintain a clear sense of direction. They show courage and audacity, partly due to the modular design allowing for updates with in-house developed techniques. The company plays a crucial role in sustainability with their separation installations in the recycling field.”
About the VHB Groep
The VHB Groep is a leading Dutch company specialising in the processing of bottom ash (residual product after waste incineration) and related services. The company has a rich history of over 90 years and is now in the hands of the third generation of the family. Non-ferrous Recovery Company (NRC) processes bottom ash from waste-to-energy plants, separating non-ferrous metals and iron. These non-ferrous metals are further sorted at Aerinnova into mono streams such as copper, aluminium and zinc, and sold on the global market for reuse as raw material.
